I have to say I did not finish the book, I was finished with the book and the process a few months ago.Corel Painter 12 was released earlier today, and is a massive overhaul of the Painter we all know and love. Goodreads wants to know when you finish a book. Best wishes to those who venture into digital painting. I think I'll sell my wacom tablet, this book, and keep my digital drawing for fun on my iPad. However, I can draw most anything on paper.

I'm sure if it was my profession I would feel differently. I quickly lose interest when I have to make my marks on one surface and only be able to see them come into view on the screen. I love drawing with an old fashion pen or pencil. Alas, I have a Wacom tablet, the pen and this highly technical software, but I found I have very little motivation to pursue this type of making art.
